We are dedicated to addressing the connection between food safety and poverty, striving to ensure that all Africans, regardless of location, can access safe food. We also aim to reduce the environmental impact of both modern and traditional food systems, a sector that is often overlooked in developing countries. Through our work, we will address local food safety challenges that are frequently neglected.

Who is Maria Kangala?

An expert in food regulation, sustainability, quality, and safety with a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from the University of Namibia, a Master's degree in Food Science from North Carolina State University, and nearly 10 years of experience in the field of food safety.

Maria is passionate about ensuring safe and sustainable food systems across Africa, driven by a vision to improve food security and public health throughout the continent.
